Itinerary
Begin your journey with a scenic 9–10 hour drive (265 km) through the beautiful Alaknanda Valley, crossing the famous Panch Prayags and charming mountain towns. Reach Govindghat (1,875 m) by evening, check in to your hotel, relax, and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight stay in Govindghat/Pandukeshwar.
After breakfast, take a short drive from Govindghat to Pulna, the starting point of the trek. Begin a scenic 9 km trek through forests, waterfalls, suspension bridges, and along the beautiful Pushpawati River. Reach Ghangaria (3,050 m) by evening, the base camp for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Check in, relax, and overnight stay in Ghangaria.
Start early for the highlight of the journey — the breathtaking Valley of Flowers. Trek 10 km round trip through forests, streams, and scenic meadows to reach the UNESCO World Heritage site at 3,600 m. Spend the day exploring vibrant alpine blooms, rare Himalayan flora, and stunning mountain views before returning to Ghangaria for an overnight stay.
Begin early for the challenging trek to Hemkund Sahib, the world’s highest Sikh shrine at 4,329 m. The 14 km round trip takes you through steep mountain trails, alpine meadows, and breathtaking Himalayan views. Spend time at the sacred glacial lake and Gurudwara before descending back to Ghangaria for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, descend back from Ghangaria to Pulna, retracing the scenic trail through forests, bridges, and river valleys. The 9 km downhill trek takes around 4–5 hours. From Pulna, take a short drive to Govindghat and check in to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive back to Rishikesh, passing through the beautiful Alaknanda Valley and the famous Prayags once again. The journey takes around 9–10 hours, with arrival in Rishikesh by evening, marking the end of this unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
Important Notes
- Travellers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/flights reaching Delhi not later than 4 PM on the trip start date. Similarly, on trip end date, book returning flight/trains leaving post 2 PM.
- Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. may cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.
