Overview
Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, the Har Ki Dun Trek is one of the most breathtaking valley treks in India. Located in the Uttarkashi district at an altitude of approximately 3,500 meters, this ancient trail is famously known as the “Valley of Gods.”
Surrounded by snow-covered peaks, alpine meadows, dense pine forests and charming Himalayan villages, Har Ki Dun offers trekkers a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The trail follows the scenic Supin River, crossing wooden bridges, crystal clear streams, and traditional Garhwali settlements that seem frozen in time.
Throughout the journey, trekkers witness an ever-changing landscape — from lush forests and blooming flowers in summer to snow-covered meadows during winter. Wildlife sightings, panoramic Himalayan views, and peaceful village life make this trek truly unforgettable.
The best time to experience the Har Ki Dun Trek is from September to December, when the skies remain clear and the valley showcases its vibrant colors before transforming into a winter wonderland.
